Hook Strategies That Work
Some of my favourite hooks include:
State a misconception: “Foods you think are unhealthy but aren’t”
Future pace: “If you want six-pack abs in 6 months, keep watching”
Relevant statement: “If you’re seeing this before May 1st, keep watching”
Warning: “You’re never going to have [desired result] if you don’t do this one thing”
Secrets/hacks: “Things people don’t want you to know about”
Ask a question to spark curiosity
Set the expectation right away so viewers know exactly what’s coming
Video editing tricks: putting the most exciting part first or starting with a reaction
